Job summary

Stantec in Reading is seeking an Associate Transport Planner to lead major transport projects and shape our regional strategy. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff and grow the Reading transport planning practice.

You will manage client relationships, deliver Transport Assessments and Travel Plans, and help win work while ensuring high-quality delivery across residential, commercial and infrastructure developments in the South East.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within transport planning consultancy.
• Strong track record delivering development planning projects.
• Experience leading Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and planning applications for complex developments.
• Understanding of the UK planning system and transport policy framework.
• Experience managing client relationships and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex transport planning projects from feasibility through planning consent and implementation.
• Act as trusted client adviser, develop long-term relationships and identify value opportunities.
• Prepare, review and oversee Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, transport strategies and related docs.
• Provide strategic transport planning advice across residential, mixed-use, employment, regeneration and infra projects.
• Manage project budgets, timelines and quality assurance.
• Support business development including client engagement and tender submissions.
• Mentor junior team members and build capability within the team.
• Contribute to growth and reputation of Stantec's Transport Planning in the South East.
