Stantec in Northamptonshire is seeking an Associate Director to lead the Transport Planning team, focusing on development planning for private-sector clients. You will drive project delivery, client relationships, and growth across the Midlands.

You will advise on transport strategy, sustainability, and planning applications, mentoring teams and leading bids. Hybrid working and extensive professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in transport planning consultancy at Associate/Associate Director level.
• Strong development planning experience.
• Experience with private-sector clients including developers and landowners.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development planning and transport planning projects across the private sector.
• Provide strategic transport advice to developers and property clients.
• Lead inputs for residential, mixed-use, commercial and strategic development schemes.
• Advise on transport strategy, accessibility, sustainable travel and transport impacts.
• Prepare and oversee Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Support land promotion, masterplanning and planning applications stages.
• Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to secure transport solutions.
• Manage project teams, budgets and deliverables.
• Develop long-term client relationships and drive business growth.
• Mentor junior transport planners and support regional growth.
