Job summary

Culina Group is hiring a Transport Team Leader for its Chilled & Fresh division in the UK. The role requires managing day-to-day transport planning, coordinating with transport and warehouse teams, and optimizing loads across multiple sites.

The successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, coordinate approximately 100 daily collections, and maintain KPI performance while driving continuous improvements. Salary £30,000 with 4-on/4-off shifts (06:00–18:00).

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.
• Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and Excel capability across standard formulas.

Responsibilities

• Plan day-to-day transport operations and oversee the transport planning function.
• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads within 24 hours.
• Plan daily workload of fleet across multiple depots and sites.
• Subcontract and plan orders from various warehouses and manufacturing sites in the UK.
• Report problems and handle queries promptly.
• Plan approximately 100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
• Maintain and exceed KPI targets; look for continuous improvements.
• Make decisions under pressure within tight timescales.
