Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking an experienced Tender Manager to lead the end-to-end bid process from receipt to submission. The role requires a strategic owner of bid strategy, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver winning submissions.

You will manage pre-qualification, scheduling, and governance, ensuring high-quality responses and effective win strategies within a highly regulated environment. Prior nuclear/regulatory sector experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven bid/tender project management experience.
• Strong commercial understanding.
• 10+ years in nuclear or regulated industry.
• CRM experience (Salesforce).
• Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
• Strategic understanding and broad business view.
• Knowledge of business development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pre-Qualification and Bid Management activities and ensure high-quality submissions.
• Develop bid programmes, schedules and clear requirements for each tender.
• Create and implement bid collaboration models across internal teams and external partners.
• Identify, brief and coordinate contributors, SMEs, subsidiaries and supply-chain partners.
• Oversee the bid writing process and ensure responses align to maximise scoring.
• Lead win strategy sessions, storyboarding, answer planning and bid reviews.
• Facilitate client interview and presentation rehearsals.
• Support partnering and business development discussions.
• Ensure bids progress through governance processes.
• Maintain CRM information and support wider business development.
• Lead lessons-learned activities and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and mentor junior colleagues to build a bid-winning culture.
