EQUANS is looking for a Lead Technician to join our team in Ashton-under-Lyne on a permanent basis for our Tameside General Hospital contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Based at Tameside General Hospital, the Lead Technician will be responsible for the technical performance and maintenance of standards within the Tameside Hospital contract. They will provide guidance to others on site, showing technical expertise in Facilities Management delivery, to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.
Impact:
The individual will play a vital role in Equans, working alongside an already established technical team to ensure that the operations are legally and contractually compliant and represent excellence in service delivery.
Complexity:
The primary complexities of the role are around the management of the workflow from Helpdesk/Maximo through to completion and sign off. Communication with clients and customers is critical to this role. Working in a live hospital, 24/7, requires careful planning of Maintenance works and collaboration with stakeholders is key.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
• Strong customer focus with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service. Previous FM experience within a hospital and/or PFI environment would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge, experience and understanding of HTM’s would be an advantage.
• Currently trained and or experienced in RP/ AP duties in at least two of the following: water management (Legionella), ventilation in healthcare premises, medical gases, etc. would be an advantage but not essential.
• Apprentice trained and qualified/experienced within a mechanical/electrical background.
• Basic computer literate.
• Understanding of HR related items.
• Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely with equipment.
• Preferably experienced with HVAC, pump systems, medical gases, steam systems, pressure systems, water systems and legionella.
• Knowledge of Building Management systems.
• Sound knowledge of the practical implementation of Health & Safety.
• Full driving licence required.
