Job summary

Drnewitt in Scotland is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the site’s food safety, quality and technical functions at a well-established North Lanarkshire production site.

You will manage a technical team, drive HACCP, allergen controls and audits (BRCGS, customer and regulatory) while partnering with production, procurement and engineering to uphold compliance and continuous improvement across the business.

This is a hands-on role with real impact on standards and customer confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical, quality or food safety teams in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP and food safety systems.
• Experience managing customer/regulatory audits.
• Solid knowledge of UK food legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop site's food safety, quality and technical management systems.
• Maintain HACCP, food safety plans, risk assessments and prerequisite programmes.
• Ensure controls for allergens, microbiological risks and other hazards.
• Prepare for audits and close resulting actions.
• Lead investigations into food safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support technical enquiries and supplier performance management.
• Develop the technical team and collaborate with other departments.
• Keep business informed of changes in legislation and standards.
