Job summary

Drnewitt is seeking a Site Technical Manager for a busy food manufacturing site in Somerset. The role oversees food safety, quality, legality and technical compliance, leading the site Technical function and driving a culture of continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will manage audits, certifications and regulatory requirements, coordinating with site management to embed technical compliance in projects and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing environments.
• Proven leadership of technical teams.
• Experience leading audits and regulatory inspections.
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead site food safety, quality, legality and compliance systems across the site.
• Manage, coach and develop the Site Technical Team with high performance.
• Promote a strong food safety culture across the site.
• Lead HACCP, VACCP and TACCP responsibilities.
• Maintain and improve compliance with BRCGS and customer standards.
