Job summary

Drnewitt is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA team and uphold food safety and technical standards across the site. You will ensure products meet customer expectations, maintain traceability, and comply with food safety and legal requirements including BRCGS, working closely with Technical, Supply Chain and operations to drive continuous improvement and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing, embedding and maintaining technical standards within a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience working to a recognised third‑party standard such as BRCGS.
• Experience coordinating and implementing HACCP within a food manufacturing environment.
• Minimum Level 3 / Intermediate HACCP training; Level 4 / Advanced HACCP would be an advantage.
• Experience auditing products against internal and recognised third‑party standards.
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality, legality and traceability requirements.
• Experience managing or supervising a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality team, providing mentoring and training to develop capability.
• Maintain and continually improve QA procedures, records and site standards.
• Ensure products meet food safety, quality and legal standards before leaving site.
• Support Supplier Technical Manager with supplier specifications and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Contribute to HACCP reviews, risk assessments and audits, with a focus on continuous improvement.
