Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Technical Manager to lead the technical and quality agenda at a large UK FMCG manufacturing site in Wrexham. You will head the Food Safety Management System, HACCP, audits and customer-facing technical interactions, while driving continuous improvement and a high-performing quality function.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive HACCP/BRC knowledge, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the business in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in a technical or quality role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and BRC standards and retailer requirements.
• Experience leading teams and developing talent in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site's Food Safety Management System and HACCP programme.
• Act as HACCP Team Leader and ensure compliance with food safety, quality and legal requirements.
• Manage customer relationships on technical matters and represent the business at customer KPI meetings.
• Lead preparation for customer, retailer and third-party audits and act as primary audit contact.
• Ensure compliance with BRC standards and retailer codes of practice.
• Oversee quality assurance and validation teams; set objectives and performance measures.
• Investigate food safety incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, NPD and Process Development to meet customer/regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement programmes and site system development.
• Drive a proactive food safety culture across the operation.
