Job summary

Shipston-on-Stour Primary School is seeking a dedicated full-time teacher to lead and teach the school’s internal support base for children with special educational needs.

You will work with the existing team in a two-form entry school, applying a range of pedagogical techniques and ensuring outcomes align with EHCPs and the national curriculum, while using ICT to plan, track progress and develop pupils’ learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a primary school environment.
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Creative, patient and empathetic with learners of diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with class teachers to meet each child's needs per EHCPs.
• Lead and deploy teaching assistants in the support base.
• Contribute to an extended and dynamic curriculum for SEN pupils.
• Support in a two-form entry school and collaborate with colleagues.
