Job summary

NL Education Ltd is hiring a Lead Teacher for a small SEN base at an Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Northolt, West London. The post is temporary until Christmas, with a possibility of extension, and runs 8:00am to 4:00pm with PPA time. There are around 3 support staff in the base.

You would teach the base and work closely with the support team, adapting your approach to each pupil’s needs, including DLD, ASD, and regulation/behaviour challenges.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN, ideally in a base or specialist setting.
• Confident adapting lessons to different needs as the day goes on.
• This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Teach the SEN base of 13 pupils across Years 3 to 5.
• Work closely with the support team and adapt approach for each pupil.
• Lead teaching in the SEN base during lessons and day-to-day activities.
