Job summary

Catch22 is recruiting an Lead Teacher to provide on-site leadership for a College site serving 14-19 year olds with complex needs. You will manage the educational environment, deliver a high-quality curriculum and support staff to achieve outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.

You will oversee timetabling, subject development, and performance data analysis, ensuring compliance with DfE guidance and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (QTS preferred) or be willing to work towards.
• Experience of managing staff and setting KPIs.
• Experience with learners with complex needs and behaviours.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE Maths and/or English.
• Build effective relationships with students and families.
• Manage timetable and deployment of staff.
• Oversee development of subject area and schemes of work.
• Plan and update schemes of work to meet curriculum and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse performance data and report to Centre Manager.
• Lead teaching and learning improvement through observation procedures.
• Manage performance reviews and staff development.
• Support training and development of staff to deliver outstanding teaching.
• Drive safeguarding and compliance.
