Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer- Tree Systems in Aberdeen to lead the engineering design and standardisation of subsea products. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, drive design verification and manage multiple projects to schedule.

You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure robust product standards across new product introductions while supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Accountable for engineering design and standardisation of subsea products.
• Lead design verification and validation activities.
• Plan and allocate work packs across the team using Primavera planning tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve product performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design subsea Tree systems, including specifications and datasheets.
• Manage engineering deliverables and schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Establish and maintain product line standards for consistency across projects.
• Mentor and guide junior and remote engineers to foster technical excellence.
• Own technical solutions to reduce non-conformances and close manufacturing queries.
