Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer - Tree Systems to lead design and standardisation of subsea Tree systems. You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, lead design verification, and establish robust product standards for consistent application across projects and new introductions.

The role requires leadership, strong CAD/PLM experience and a track record in subsea engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience focusing on subsea chokes and valves within the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of subsea production systems, engineering principles and industry standards.
• Experience using CAD tools and PLM engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Design subsea Tree systems, including specifications, interfaces, datasheets and DVPs.
• Manage engineering deliverables and schedule dates using Primavera Planning.
• Establish and maintain product line standards for consistent application across projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing and field issues.
• Own technical solutions to reduce non-conformances and close technical queries.
• Manage multiple engineering activities and ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Mentor and guide junior and remote engineers for technical excellence.

Fuel your passion As aSenior Mechanical Project Engineer- Tree Systems - You will be accountable for the engineering design and standardisation of subsea products used across subsea tree systems. You will have the Leadership and communication Skills to execute large complex projects, manage the teams deliverables and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, lead design verification and validation activities and establish robust product standards that enable consistent application across projects and new product introductions.

As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer- Tree Systems - You will:

• Designing and developing subsea Tree systems, including specifications, interfaces, design reviews, datasheets, procedures and DVPs.
• Managing Engineering deliverables, allocating work packs across the team to customer requirements and scheduling dates using Primavera Planning tools.
• Establishing and maintaining product line standards to support consistent application across projects and new product introductions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions that enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing and operational issues, working closely with on-site manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Owning technical solutions to reduce repeat non-conformances and ensuring timely closure of manufacturing technical queries.
• Managing multiple engineering activities and projects concurrently, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outputs.
• Mentoring and guiding junior and remote engineers, supporting capability development and consistent technical excellence across the team.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Have proven experience in design engineering roles focused on subsea chokes and valves within the energy sector.
• Have strong knowledge of subsea production systems, engineering principles, and relevant industry standards.
• Have experience using CAD tools and PLM engineering systems.
• Have the ability to manage complex technical workloads and multiple priorities effectively.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment.
