Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in steel frame construction to oversee day-to-day site operations on commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects in South West London. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards.

The role requires robust health and safety knowledge, the ability to manage multiple crews, and excellent communication with clients, consultants

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on steel frame construction projects.
• Strong understanding of structural steel erection and associated trades.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and site management practices.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain programme targets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site operations from mobilisation through to completion.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
• Ensure steel frame erection works are carried out safely and in accordance with programme requirements.
• Monitor project progress and report regularly to senior management.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, structural engineers, and project teams.
• Manage site logistics, materials, and plant requirements.
• Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise delays.
• Ensure all works comply with current regulations, specifications, and company procedures.
