Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their multi-office team in the UK. You will lead design delivery on a range of projects, perform structural calculations and reports, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining client liaison and project leadership.

Ideally you will have Chartered status in sight (CEng / MIStructE / MICE) and strong Eurocode experience across steel, concrete and masonry. Off-site collaboration with a supportive, growing consultancy is offered.

Qualifications

• This role requires at least 3 years' experience in structural design and a strong command of Eurocode design for steel, reinforced concrete and masonry.
• Experience producing structural calculations and technical reports is essential.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software is required.
• Commercial awareness of budgets and project costs is important.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery and project leadership across a varied UK portfolio
• Mentor and develop junior engineers on technical and career growth
• Produce detailed structural calculations, drawings, sketches and specifications
• Conduct site inspections and ensure construction aligns with design intent
• Engage in client interaction and support commercial aspects including budgets
