Job summary

Calibre Search is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer in Sheffield for a well-established multidisciplinary practice. You will lead a varied portfolio of building structures projects, taking responsibility for design and delivery from concept through to construction, and working with clients, architects and contractors.

The role offers opportunities to mentor junior engineers, review technical work and contribute to the ongoing development of the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong background in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber design.
• Experience with building investigations and structural assessments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a varied portfolio of building structures projects.
• Lead smaller to medium-sized schemes independently while contributing to larger developments.
• Be involved throughout the project lifecycle from concept to construction.
• Mentor junior engineers, review technical work and help develop the team.
