Job summary

Design for Manufacture Resourcing (DFM-R) Limited is seeking a Structural Engineer at Engineer/Senior/Lead level for a remote, long-term contract on a major UK nuclear new-build programme. You will contribute to safety-critical design through analysis, calculations and coordination across disciplines.

The role offers flexible hours with occasional UK office travel and opportunities to lead technical interfaces and mentoring within a complex civil/structural environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required.
• Chartered status or progress towards CEng is preferred depending on seniority.
• Strong experience with RC and/or structural steel design and analysis.
• Knowledge of UK/international design codes is essential.
• Experience in regulated/safety-critical environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Produce and review calculations, models, drawings and specifications.
• Assess loading conditions including seismic, thermal and accidental loads.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering assurance documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces across civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical and safety teams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and interface management at Lead/Senior levels.
