Job summary

Design for Manufacture Resourcing (DFM-R) Limited is seeking Structural Engineer/ Senior/ Lead for a major UK nuclear new-build programme. The role covers analysis, design and substantiation of complex civil and structural infrastructure with remote/home-based work and occasional UK office travel.

You will perform structural analysis of reinforced concrete and steel, produce calculations and drawings, assess loading conditions, and contribute to technical assurance and interface coordination

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong reinforced concrete and/or structural steel experience.
• Structural analysis and design experience.
• Knowledge of UK/international design codes.
• Experience in major infrastructure or regulated environments.
• Chartered status or progress towards CEng.

Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Production/review of calculations, models, drawings and specifications.
• Assessment of loading conditions including seismic, thermal and accidental loads.
• Design substantiation and technical justification.
• Technical reports and engineering assurance documentation.
• Multidisciplinary coordination across civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, process, construction and safety disciplines.
• Technical assurance and design reviews.
• Lead/Senior level: technical leadership, mentoring and management of engineering interfaces.
