Job summary

Brandon James Ltd in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Structural Engineer with at least two years in a consultancy to join a collaborative team. You will design across steel, concrete, timber and masonry and produce calculations with Tekla and TEDDS, working with architects, contractors and clients.

The role offers hybrid working, exposure to diverse projects, and strong support towards achieving Chartered Engineer status with experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• A BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years’ post-graduate consultancy experience.
• Experience designing structures using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Proficiency with Tekla, TEDDS or similar packages.
• Full UK driving licence. IsctrE/ICE membership or Chartership in progress or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Design structural solutions in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce calculations and technical reports using Tekla and TEDDS.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with project planning, coordination from concept to completion.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure works meet design specs and statutory requirements.
• Develop practical engineering solutions while maintaining high standards.
• Support towards Chartership with mentors.
