Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Stress) to lead structural stress analysis across composite and metallic airframes. You will guide teams, drive design and certification activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while managing timelines and budgets.

You will interact with customers and certification authorities, review drawings and reports, and collaborate with Design, Loads, Materials, Manufacturing and Test teams to deliver safe, certified

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' stress engineering experience with management or project management responsibilities.
• Proven track record in stress analysis for sizing of primary aircraft structure in metallic and composite materials.
• Experience with classical methods and FEA for composites and metals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and commercial leadership to stress engineers for static strength, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
• Lead stress activities to support design development and certification.
• Oversee technical definition, planning and budget for projects; ensure regulatory compliance.
