Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited seeks a Project Engineer (Stress) to drive structural integrity, airworthiness strategy and certification across aircraft programs. You will guide core and subcontract stress teams, shaping design and testing for composite and metallic airframes, while ensuring compliance with certification standards.

The role involves technical leadership in stress analysis, test planning, and liaison with certification bodies to meet demanding safety requirements and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent with 3+ years stress engineering experience.
• Experience in stress analysis for metallic and composite primary aircraft structures.
• Classical methods and FEM experience for both composite and metallic materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to stress teams on structural analysis across airframe components.
• Review and approve drawings, DDS and certification reports.
• Interact with customers and certification authorities to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Support planning, budgeting and cross-disciplinary reviews within program milestones.
