Job summary

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club in Bermuda seeks a Chief Steward to lead the Stewarding team, manage budgets and inventory, and ensure HACCP-compliant operations in a luxury hotel environment.

You will report to the Executive Chef, coach staff, and drive service excellence while maintaining asset protection and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and ServSafe/HACCP certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chief Steward in a luxury high-volume hotel stewarding environment.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with proven ability to achieve service excellence.
• Demonstrated inventory management and cost-control experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, lead, coach and manage all aspects of team performance toward exceptional guest service.
• Lead and manage the Stewarding team ensuring service excellence and safety compliance.
• Develop and communicate department policies and control procedures to protect hotel assets.
• Maintain inventory of flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment; place orders as required.
• Ensure staff are trained to safely operate kitchen equipment and uphold HACCP standards.
• Prepare and manage department operating budgets; report data to Food & Beverage leadership.
