Job summary

GE Vernova Energy UK Limited is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to lead steam turbine design, select materials, and oversee assembly procedures across sites. You will create and manage advanced 3D models in CATIA V5 or NX, ensuring design integrity and regulatory compliance.

You will integrate components from internal and external teams, review drawings and BOMs, and provide on-site support during manufacturing, installation, and outages, applying sound engineering judgment for quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or significant industry experience.
• Proven experience in steam turbine mechanical design or large rotating equipment.
• Strong CAD/PLM skills with CATIA V5 or NX.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally for sites and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design definition of steam turbines, including materials selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly procedures.
• Develop and maintain 3D design models using CATIA V5 or NX, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Integrate components designed by internal and external teams into an optimized turbine design.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and BOMs produced by drafting teams.
• Provide on-site engineering support during manufacturing, installation, and outage activities.
• Apply engineering judgment to ensure quality, safety, delivery, and performance requirements.
