Job summary

GE Vernova UK Centre of Excellence in Rugby is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Gas Power, Steam Services ITR Engineering. You will contribute to hands‑on development of engineering applications and rotating component tools, working across global teams to deliver reliable, high‑performing software.

You will translate requirements into plans, drive validation, deployment, and user training, and participate in design discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mechanical engineering; master’s preferred.
• Significant experience in developing and supporting physics-based design and engineering analysis tools for industrial or rotating component applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering teams to identify business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
• Upgrade and enhance design and engineering analysis applications for rotating components.
• Manage project scope, schedules, risks, and cross-functional coordination.
• Lead development, testing, validation, release, deployment, and user training for global teams.
