Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation) seeks a Lead/Staff Business Analyst to shape our Direct-to-Consumer business, including PlayStation Store and PlayStation Direct. You will translate business needs into clear requirements for Product, Engineering, Analytics and Data Science, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.

You will drive cross‑domain analyses, frame problems for executives, and advocate data‑driven decisions while enhancing BA practices and standards across the team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Business Analysis within digital commerce, subscriptions or retail businesses.
• Experience leading business analysis for complex, global initiatives spanning multiple domains.
• Experience partnering with product, engineering, analytics and data science teams to design and deliver commerce solutions.
• Broad understanding of ecommerce customer journeys, commercial drivers and operational processes.
• Ability to align senior leaders and cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
• Experience mapping and redesigning complex business processes or operating models.
• Executive-level communication and influencing skills with data-backed recommendations.
• Experience mentoring practitioners and raising business-analysis capability.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business needs into clear, testable requirements for Product and Engineering.
• Frame cross-functional problems and align decision-makers with priorities.
• Coordinate collaboration across Business, Product, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science and Finance.
• Evaluate trade-offs and wider consequences across journeys, models, and capabilities.
• Redesign processes and operating models to enable scalable tooling and automation.
• Partner with Product, Analytics and Data Science to test hypotheses and justify changes.
• Influence executive decisions with structured framing and data-informed recommendations.
• Develop practices and standards to improve BA quality and consistency.
