Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR in the UK seeks a Lead Specialist – High Integrity Vessels to steer design, integration and lifecycle assurance of safety-critical components across Derby, Manchester and Warrington sites. You will leverage deep expertise in structural integrity and ASME code compliance to lead cross-functional engineering teams and regulatory engagements.

The role reports to the Senior Manager for Major Reactor Island Equipment and requires a proven track record in the nuclear industry, strong

Qualifications

  • Broad understanding of design, manufacture, operation and through-life management of High Integrity Vessels in the Nuclear Industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of structural integrity for High Integrity Vessels in the nuclear sector.
  • Lead communities of practice to raise engineering and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and strategic direction for design, integration and lifecycle assurance of High Integrity Vessels.
  • Act as technical focal point for internal stakeholders, external partners, suppliers and regulators.
  • Ensure components meet stringent nuclear safety, performance and regulatory requirements across all lifecycle phases.
  • Communicate technical and strategic insights to diverse audiences and lead teams accordingly.
