Job summary

Valor Hospitality in Nottingham is seeking a driven Sous Chef to join our kitchen team, working 40 hours across 5 days at £16.34 per hour. You will collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards, train and empower the team, and oversee kitchen operations with a focus on presentation, hygiene and safety.

As a leader in a busy environment, you will drive menu execution, monitor portion control, manage stock levels, and support cost control while delivering exceptional dining

Qualifications

• Previous sous chef experience in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the executive chef to create and execute menus that meet high quality standards.
• Assist in training and developing new kitchen team members.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes follow recipes and portions.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and comply with food safety guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and assist in ordering to maintain stock levels.
• Collaborate on cost control and budget management.
• Deliver an exceptional dining experience in partnership with the Head Chef.
