The Signet Group’s The Alfriston in East Sussex is seeking a highly professional Sous Chef to join the Kitchen team for an exciting opening. You will deputise for the Head Chef and help manage daily kitchen operations in a luxury hotel setting.

You will ensure quality, manage stocks, supervise staff, uphold hygiene and safety standards, and support training and development. The role offers a competitive starting salary or hourly rate, with generous benefits and opportunities to progress within

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a sous chef or senior chef in a high-end or hotel kitchen.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to deputise for Head Chef and manage daily kitchen operations.

Aufgaben

• Deputise in the Head Chef's absence.
• Ensure daily kitchen requirements and stock levels are on hand.
• Maintain hygiene and safety regulations and records.
• Lead and develop the kitchen team, schedule rosters and attendance.
• Ensure accurate orders, dish quality, quantity and presentation.
• Attend seminars and training to advance management techniques.
• Support chefs with recipe knowledge and troubleshooting.
