Job summary

Harvester, Rayleigh Weir, is seeking a Sous Chef with a passion for great food and people development. You will lead a kitchen section, train your team, and step up in the Head Chef’s absence while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead a kitchen section and inspire the team.
• Experience training and developing kitchen staff.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, preparation and stock control.
• Mastery of working with a branded menu.
• Confident in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee compliance with health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a kitchen section and ensure team cohesion.
• Train and motivate staff to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Assist Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control.
• Execute branded menu with consistency and flair.
• Supervise Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Ensure health and hygiene standards are met.
