Job description

We are seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to join our team in the UK! This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the global Sales organization at Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions.

Location:

Remote - Ideally based in the UK, with an expectation of 40% travel to customer and CW sites.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Annual Sales Plan through pre-sales and post-sales technical consulting activities, requiring extensive knowledge of our complex products.
  2. Manage a team of Field Application Engineers, including workload management, role enablement, and training.
  3. Provide support and mentoring for complex technical sales to ensure successful customer integration and implementation.
  4. Support pre-sales strategic customer engagement, including customer meetings and technology days to promote Curtiss-Wright capabilities.
  5. Triaging and qualifying customer inquiries to prioritize new business opportunities.
  6. Assist in bid support and customer architecture discussions to develop compliant system solutions.
  7. Prepare and present technical proposals aligning Curtiss-Wright products with customer needs.
  8. Promote new business through networking, trade shows, and social media.
  9. Support post-sales activities, including updating customers on product enhancements and providing first-line technical support.
  10. Perform basic hardware/software integration, debugging, and operational instructions.
Required Expertise:
  • Experience selling or working with Defense and Aerospace OEMs, especially those supplying Radars, Electronic Warfare, or Aircraft Electronic Systems.
  • Proven success in sales/orders within Mil/Commercial Aero or Mil Land environments.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and working with large datasets for sales and product development insights.
  • Experience fostering discipline and generating bidding opportunities with major OEMs, with past dealings with Airbus, Thales, Leonardo highly desired.
  • 10-15 years in technical sales and at least 5 years in engineering management.
