Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Software Team Leader for a permanent role in Kent, within the defence and security sector. You will provide technical and people leadership to software engineering teams delivering safety-critical systems from the Rochester area.

You will own end-to-end planning, balance scope, schedule and cost, and work with systems and project leads to align delivery with programme objectives. The role requires experience across software lifecycle and tools such as DOORS, Polarion, and

Qualifications

Experience leading software teams delivering safety-critical systems.
Ability to plan and deliver work packages with budgets and schedules.
Experience across lifecycle stages: requirements, design, implementation, integration, verification.

Responsibilities

Provide technical and people leadership for software engineering teams delivering safety-critical systems.
Own end-to-end planning and delivery of software work packages, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.
Build and evolve software teams to meet current and future programme demands.
Maintain delivery oversight with progress tracking and financial assurance.
Collaborate with systems, project, and discipline leads to align delivery with programme objectives.
