Zusammenfassung

Matchtech Group's client, a leading defence and security organisation, is seeking a hands-on Software Technical Lead for its Embedded Software Department to drive a next‑generation naval system from requirements and architecture through to implementation, integration and deployment.

This technically focused role emphasizes software design, development and technical direction rather than traditional line management, offering a clear path to specialist engineering progression and greater technical

Qualifikationen

Proven embedded C/C++ development experience.
Knowledge of RTOS environments and constraints.
Ability to derive and test against interface documents (ICDs).

Aufgaben

Technical ownership of embedded software design and delivery (C/C++).
Define and review software architecture and implementation strategy.
Ensure designs meet safety, security and reliability requirements.
Hands-on development, reviews, and problem solving across the lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders and other engineering disciplines on technical decisions.
Identify and communicate technical risk and software debt.
Produce and review technical documentation and artefacts.
Promote engineering best practices: coding standards and QA discipline.
Use delivery metrics to recommend improvements.
