Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive development of a next-generation, low-latency wholesale payments platform at scale. You will write secure, high-performance code and mentor a global team while delivering production-ready solutions.

You will collaborate across Product, Architecture, and Infrastructure to meet stringent security, performance, and availability requirements, contributing to engineering excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on enterprise software development concepts.
• Excellent understanding of Java 17+ fundamentals and frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot).
• Experience with multi-threading, messaging tech, and computer networks.
• Experience delivering low-latency, scalable distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performance, latency-sensitive code with security in mind.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects on designs for scalable features.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions and lead engineering efforts.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
