Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Bournemouth seeks a Lead Software Engineer to join the Corporate Global Tax Technology team.

You will design, build, and scale cloud-based applications that support critical tax workflows in a secure, agile environment. You will lead engineering practices, collaborate with architects and peers, and drive AI/ML-enabled development while ensuring high standards for reliability, security, and performance.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Experience in cloud development with a focus on design and development.
Experience with AI/ML model integration and Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Bedrock).
Advanced in Java and Python.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Experience building RESTful APIs and serverless architectures.
Proficiency in automation and CD/CI practices.
Strong understanding of secure coding and code reviews.
Experience leading engineering practices and driving adoption of AI-assisted tooling.

Responsibilities
