Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the AI and Machine Learning Data Platforms team in the United Kingdom. You will be a core technical contributor, delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable manner.

You will lead architectural discussions, mentor junior engineers, and drive the adoption of enterprise-authored AI-assisted development practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes across teams.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Demonstrated strength in a cloud-based engineering environment.
Advanced Python - additional programming languages a plus.
Experience leading use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation of AI outputs.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and debugging.
Develops secure production code and conducts code reviews.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture and tooling.
Provides technical leadership on data projects across engineers, PMs, and stakeholders.
Mentors a couple of junior engineers.
Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and reliability.
