Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the AI & ML Data Platforms team to drive complex engineering challenges across a scalable, secure stack. Lead an agile team, shape product design, and deliver trusted technology that powers a global financial institution.

You will influence architecture, mentor engineers, and apply responsible AI practices across the SDLC, contributing to the engineering community and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages with focus on code quality and maintainability.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with deep knowledge in cloud/AI/ML.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others.
• Drive product design and operational decisions; influence architecture and processes.
• Serve as SME in one or more focus areas; share knowledge across engineering.
• Foster an inclusive team culture and advocate enterprise frameworks and practices.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Apply SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to improve automation.
