Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Gloucester to lead the design and development of secure, scalable software systems that support critical national infrastructure.

You will provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle, work with customers and product owners, define technical strategy and mentor engineers to deliver complex software projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java, Python, C++, Go, Rust or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proven system architecture and technical leadership.
• Experience with Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWS.
• Familiar with Agile development and collaborative engineering environments.
• Experience mentoring and supporting teams on complex software projects.

We're looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join a growing team delivering innovative solutions across Defence, Cyber and Intelligence programmes. This is an opportunity to lead the design and development of secure, scalable software systems that support critical national infrastructure.

The Role

As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with customers, product owners and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You'll play a key role in defining technical strategy, driving architectural decisions and mentoring other engineers.

Skills & Experience

We're interested in candidates with experience in:

• Software development using Java, Python, C++, Go, Rust or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• System architecture and technical leadership.
