Job summary

NiCE is expanding its Cloud Platform Engineering team to ensure reliable, scalable cloud services for public safety customers. The role is hands-on, focusing on observability, automation and platform reliability in a Linux/Windows environment.

You will collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to enforce SLOs and maintain secure, cost-efficient cloud platforms. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in SRE/DevOps with strong scripting, IaC, and monitoring experience, including Azure, AKS, Grafana

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or similar
• Experience with Azure cloud
• Experience with databases MS-SQL, Elasticsearch, YAML, JSON, XML
• Programming or scripting (Python, PowerShell, C#)
• Infrastructure as code (ARM, BICEP, Git)
• Monitoring, alerting and dashboards (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch)
• Kubernetes and containerization (AKS)
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps
• Security/compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials+, FEDRAMP)
• Strong communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Act as part of a team of SREs, gatekeepers of production, backlog management and reliability improvements
• Lead investigations into outages, performance and cost issues
• Lead automation initiatives to reduce low-value tasks
• Provide technical leadership to Cloud Operations and Support teams
• Collaborate to establish and enforce SLOs, SLAs and error budgets
• Develop and configure monitoring dashboards and alerts (Grafana, Azure Monitor)
• Install and configure Observability Platform (Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry)
• Develop Bicep modules for monitoring infrastructure and deploy them
• Optimize performance, cost and security through regular reviews and tuning
