Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee delivery of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), High Voltage (HV) and civil works across UK sites. You will lead site teams and manage civil and electrical interfaces, ensuring health & safety, programme and budget adherence.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, drive progress against plans and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, delivering projects to NEC contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Site Manager or similar in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, power or renewable energy.
• Experience delivering civils packages including earthworks, drainage, foundations and site prep.
• Exposure to BESS, HV substations or wider power infra projects is a plus.
• Strong leadership, subcontractor and multidisciplinary team management.
• Solid understanding of health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Experience managing programmes, quality control and project performance.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across BESS, HV and civils projects.
• Coordinate civil works including earthworks, drainage and foundations.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, CDM regulations and contract requirements.
• Monitor progress against programmes, budgets and quality standards.
• Coordinate site logistics, resources and materials.
• Maintain relationships with clients, engineers and delivery teams.
• Oversee site documentation, inspections and progress reporting.
• Identify and manage site risks, resolving issues to minimise delays.
• Support commercial and NEC contract requirements.
• Deliver projects safely, efficiently and to technical specs and programme.
