Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking a General Foreman based around Bournemouth to oversee site construction works on Wessex Water projects across Dorset. You will manage day-to-day site activities, coordinate resources, and ensure works align with design and safety standards, maintaining quality and profitability.

The role requires leadership, strong communication with site teams and subcontractors, and the ability to read drawings and interpret ITPs/Safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing on-site construction activities.
• Ability to lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and interpret design drawings.
• Strong focus on health and safety with RAMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site construction works and maintain quality and profitability.
• Coordinate resources to meet project targets and programme.
• Ensure temporary and permanent works comply with design and standards.
• Direct material and plant planning to meet schedule and budget.
• Assist planning with site engineering teams and programmes.
• Lead site discipline meetings to coordinate delivery.
• Ensure RAMS and Permit to Work are in place before work starts.
