Job summary

Evolito Ltd. is seeking a Principal Technical Specialist - Simulation (R&T) to lead the development of plant models for electrical motors, power electronics, batteries and mechanical components in a model-based simulation environment. You will optimize parameters to meet flight-cycle requirements and validate models using test data.

You will provide technical guidance, contribute to best practices, and communicate progress through reports and presentations to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical/mechanical/mechatronics engineering or similar.
• Proven experience solving complex technical problems using simulation modelling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape.
• Excellent understanding of electric drivetrain components (PMSMs, Gearboxes, Inverters, Batteries) and ability to model them.
• Good understanding of control and optimisation theories (PID controllers, data fitting, optimisation algorithms).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of plant models (electrical and mechanical) in a model-based simulation environment.
• Optimise design parameters by simulating flight cycles and performance.
• Validate models via test methods and data correlation.
• Support software verification with MIL/HIL harnesses and models.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and establish best practices.
• Generate simulation reports and present findings to customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Maintain simulation models and results per configuration management processes.
