Job summary

Evolito Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design and implementation of its electric motor range on key customer projects. You will create 3D CAD models and detailed drawings, drive manufacturability, and work with CAE to optimise designs for stress and thermals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with design/development experience.
• Proficient CAD with BS8888 tolerances and GD&T.
• Experience with FEA, PDM, and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design of 3D CAD models and drawings with tolerances and standards.
• Provide input to ensure functionality and manufacturability.
• Analyse and optimise designs for stress, thermal, and fluid performance with CAE/FEA tools.
• Work with Systems Team to generate powertrain configurations for various aircraft.
• Support development of manufacturing processes and new materials.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve design issues and compromises.
