Job summary
Amey is expanding its Consulting Built Environment team and seeks a Lead Senior Electrical Engineer to direct Building Services design across multiple UK offices. You will lead condition surveys, scopes of work, and client briefings while supervising junior staff and maintaining design quality.
The role covers high‑level technical delivery, bid leadership, and strong stakeholder engagement within nuclear and other regulated sectors. Hybrid working is available.
Qualifications
- Holds relevant qualifications and professional credentials including HNC/HND or degree, CSCS card and CIBSE membership.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Amtech, Hevacomp, Relux/Dialux, TAS, IES and Revit.
- Experience leading electrical and building services design on multi‑disciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
- Act as technical team leader delivering compliant engineering outputs.
- Lead on design development, checks, and documentation to meet cost and schedule goals.
- Oversee electrical and building services elements across Rail, MoD, NHS and Education sectors.
- Manage client meetings, bids, and technical proposals with senior stakeholders.
- Assist on project risk, CDM, and interface management across interfaces.
