Job summary

Amey is seeking a Principal Building Services Engineer - Electrical to provide technical leadership across complex projects in the built environment. You will lead electrical building services design, manage teams, and build client relationships.

You will ensure safe, compliant delivery to high standards, mentor engineers, and drive business growth through work-winning and project delivery excellence across Defence, Justice, Rail, Education and other sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
• CEng status or equivalent professional level.
• Membership of IET or CIBSE or equivalent.
• Extensive experience delivering electrical building services projects.
• Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical lead, providing expert advice and supervision to teams and clients.
• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services across multidisciplinary projects.
• Prepare and check calculations, specifications, drawings and reports.
• Ensure projects meet quality, programme and budget objectives.
• Lead electrical design across Defence, Justice, Education, Rail and wider infra projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Mentor and develop engineers and junior team members.
