Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Building Services Engineer - Electrical to join its Advisory team in the UK. You will deliver technically sound electrical engineering solutions across multidisciplinary projects, prepare designs, calculations, specs and documentation, and coordinate with teams to meet quality, cost and programme objectives.

You will support bid activity, engage with clients and stakeholders, perform site surveys, and ensure adherence to CDM and Building Regulations.

Qualifications

Degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
Working towards or holding IEng or CEng status.
Membership of IET or CIBSE encouraged.
Knowledge of Building Regulations and standards.
Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM.
CSCS card holder.
CDM Regulations understanding and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

Produce technically sound electrical building services designs meeting client requirements and standards.
Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications and reports.
Design and coordinate electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarms and security.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Develop compliant, innovative design solutions for various project types.
Support project delivery with quality, programme and budget adherence.
Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers during delivery.
Undertake site visits, surveys and technical assessments as required.
Identify, assess and communicate project hazards and risks.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and welfare requirements including CDM.
Coordinate design information with other disciplines for integrated delivery.
Contribute to bid preparation and business development activities.
