Philosophy Education LTD. seeks a qualified SENDCO for a diverse East London secondary school on a full-time basis with an immediate start. The role focuses on coordinating SEND provision and developing the SEND policy to ensure high-quality pupil support across the school.

You will work with parents, outside agencies, and school staff to implement Personal Learning Plans, EHCPs, and staff training, fostering an inclusive learning environment within a growing academy group.

Competenze

• Hold QTS and SENCO qualification.
• Experience coordinating SEND provision in a secondary school.
• Able to coach and mentor others and work as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, organisation and prioritisation.

Mansioni

• Ensure parents are involved in supporting their child’s learning with planning, updates and reviews.
• Liaise with external agencies such as Speech & Language Therapy and Educational Psychologists.
• Update the SEND records and maintain progress documentation.
• Provide specialist support for teachers and support staff.
• Collaborate with class teachers to write Personal Learning Plans (PLP) with targets.
• Prepare Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Organise training for staff on meeting pupil needs.
