Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Lead Site Co-ordination and Installation Design Authority Engineer to oversee configuration and installation activities for critical military satellite communications networks. You will ensure compliance with design standards, security requirements and CMDB practices across multiple sites.

The role combines leadership, governance and hands-on coordination in a highly regulated environment, with hybrid working and regular travel to Colerne, Hawthorn and

Qualifications

• Experience in a Defence SCIDA role.
• Understanding of security architecture in compartmented certified environments.
• Experience with ICT systems in complex environments.
• Knowledge of JSP 604, JSP 440 and BS EN standards.
• Experience creating, maintaining and cataloguing Configuration Management documentation.
• CIDA training or evidence of working in a SCIDA role.
• Must be able to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and be Sole UK National.

Responsibilities

• Configuration control for all engineering installation activities at communication sites.
• Liaising with stakeholders for proposed configuration changes.
• Allocating equipment, room, rack and floor space; quality control of installations.
• Ensuring compliance with standards (ISO & JSP).
• Maintaining CMDB processes for hardware and software across the estate.
• Quality assessment of ICT projects to ensure conformance to design and standards.
• Final authorisation on project completion (Certificate of Conformity).
• Travel between sites and between Colerne, Hawthorn and Oakhanger.
