Job summary

Babcock is recruiting a Lead Site Co-ordination and Installation Design Authority Engineer to support critical UK military satellite communications networks. You will oversee configuration and installation activities, ensure security and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Colerne, Hawthorn, and Oakhanger.

The role requires capability to manage change, CMDB processes, and ensure high standards from design to completion in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Defence SCIDA role or equivalent.
• Understanding of security architecture in compartmented environments.
• Experience with ICT systems in complex environments.
• Knowledge of JSP 604, JSP 440 and BS EN standards.
• Experience creating and maintaining configuration management documents.

Responsibilities

• Configuration control for all installation activities at sites.
• Liaise with stakeholders for proposed configuration changes.
• Allocate equipment, room, rack and floor space; quality control of installations.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and JSP standards.
• Maintain CMDB processes across hardware and software.
• Final authorisation on project completion with Certificate of Conformity.
