Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to manage the Installation and Maintenance Team for a critical Military Satellite Communications contract. Based on site at Oakhanger, Hampshire, you will lead maintenance of satellite ground station infrastructure and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to keep systems operational around the clock.

The role requires experience in networks and RF, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work with stakeholders to deliver current and future

Qualifications

• Systems engineering in Network/RF
• Fault diagnosis of satellite communications equipment
• Experience with safety procedures and MS Office
• Good organisational skills and autonomy

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reporting activities and 2nd line rectification tasks for Network Operations
• Monitor and control communications systems ensuring operational integrity
• Collaborate with stakeholders and support teams for delivery of satellite services
• Follow safety and radiation policies; ensure maintenance meets SOW criteria
• Verify planned maintenance has appropriate approvals before starting work
